Blog: Quickfire Questions with M.A.D. Mick

You’ve heard him on the station, he makes you laugh, but where else can you find out what M.A.D Mick is thinking?
Mike Osman’s here with Quick Fire Questions. Although we can’t say there was much quickness in the Quickfire, he does like a ramble does M.A.D Mick.

Here we go…
MO: McDonalds or KFC?
MM: Ooooh KFC!
MO: Favourite place in England and why?
MM: Erm the Job Centre, they give you money…!
MO: Favourite song and why?
MM: Ooooh I like Sailing. It reminds me of all the sailors that I know.
MO: Let’s not go there…
MO: Favourite place in the world and why?
MM: Ooooh my front room! Because the television is in English…
MO: Any siblings?
MM: Ooooh – no!
MO: Who do you miss most and why?
MM: Ooooh, I’ll tell you what I miss… The Welded Wallet.
MO: The pub?
MM: Yes
MO: Scone as in cone or scone as in gone?
MM: Ooooh it’s a scone as in gone! Because if it was scone as in cone it would have an ‘e’ on the end…!
MO: Jam or cream first?
MM: Jam or cream first?! Cream!
MO: Teabag or milk first?
MM: … Definitely tea bag.
MO: Tea or coffee?
MM: Oooooooh. Definitely tea, as long as there’s no coffee in it!

MO: Who is your hero and why?
MM: Pardon?!
MO: Hero and why?
MM: Hero?!
MO: Yeah, who is your hero?
MM: Ooooh, my favourite hero is Bobby Moore. Oooooh, he was brilliant at Fulham – very good.
MO: Family hero and why?
MM: Oooh Doris.
MO: That’s your wife isn’t it and why you’re called M.A.D. Remind us what M.A.D. stands for?
MM: Mick and Doris… She’s my hero.
MO: Ah that’s lovely!
MO: What did you want to be when you grew up? What was your ambition?
MM: Ooooh, I wanted to be a train driver…
MO: What about your exam results when you left senior school?
MM: Ooooh, well I got one O-Level and I stole a spirit level from the woodwork class!
MO: Do you still see any school friends?
MM: Ooooh, no! I’ll tell you why. They don’t want to see me!
MO: Oh no, why!?
MM: They said I was difficult to get on with…
MO: Well we can’t believe that!
MO: Ant or Dec?
MM: Ooooh well I like Dec because you can’t put the patio furniture on an ant…!
MO: Summer or winter?
MM: Ooooooh I like the summer!
MO: Fish and chips or curry?
MM: Ooooh definitely fish and chips!
MO: Dogs or cats?
MM: Ooooh definitely a dog!
MO: Sweet or savoury?
MM: Ooooh I like sweets.
MO: Chelsea or West Ham?
MM: Ooooh I like West Ham.
MO: Who is the most famous person in your phone?
MM: Ooooh Mike Osman!
MO: Not his private number though surely?
MM: No but I’ve got a direct line to Great British Radio!
MO: Oh dear…
MM: Can I go now?
MO: Yes!
MM: Can I phone next week?!
MO: NO!
MM: Okay then, what time??

So there you have it, M.A.D Mick has spoken. Let it be known that he prefers Dec over Ant, (well he has
got a point there about the furniture…), he stole a spirit level from his woodworking class (don’t worry

M.A.D Mick, we won’t drop you in it) and he wanted to be a train driver. You can catch M.A.D Mick
throughout the week on Great British Radio.
